We take our name from our famous double sized cookies & our double shot coffees!

Double Puc is an independent cafe and catering hospitality business running four sites in Bristol alongside lots of events & catering throughout the city. We started after the pandemic and have grown organically remaining proudly independent.

Since we started back in 2009 our focus on reducing our environmental footprint has grown sharper than ever and we are working on reducing our carbon footprint on our journey towards net zero. In fact in the first two years of focusing on this we reduced the largest driver of our carbon footprint by over 20% and averted almost 30 tonnes of carbon - That’s enough to drive around the UK almost 10 times in a family car. All our deliveries are made with our zero emissions partner the Pedal Collective.

In many ways, Double Puc is a reimagining of our previous business, Friska. Friska was an award winning ethically minded cafe business, started in Bristol. We won the Observer Food Monthly Best Ethical Restaurant in 2014 , were recognised as a top 10 employer in the sector and shortlisted for the Guardian Sustainable Business of the year award in 2014.

We took everything we learnt from Friska added in our now famous cookies and created Double Puc. Our approach to hospitality remains the same and is infused with generosity of spirit and a warm welcome, our focus on food is still around fresh, quality and responsibly sourced ingredients to make delicious things to eat and our commitment to being a great employer still remains and is reflected in our commitment to being a real living wage employer and us working towards B Corp Status.

Whether you are looking for a coffee and a bite when arriving into Bristol Temple Meads, looking for a place to meet and eat with colleagues and friends or even wanting to bring life back to your office or venue we’d love to hear from you.

COFFEE

We’ve been working with the team at B Corp accredited Clifton Coffee for almost 10 years and their tireless commitment to sourcing the finest most responsibly sourced coffee direct from farm is second to none. Our current coffee comes from Pedro Gabarra and his Fazenda Pinhal farm in Brazil, voted the most sustainable in Brazil.

DAIRY

Bruton Dairy are passionate about producing the finest quality traditional Somerset milk and cream. They are ardent supporters of the Somerset dairy farming industry and produce the highest quality, locally farmed milk and cream available on the market. We think you can really taste it in every flat white.

BREAD

We’ve worked with the folks at B Corp accredited Hobbs House Bakery since day one. Whether it’s the Sourdough bread that we use to make our Famous House Bacon Toastie, The St Martin's Loaf used in our Grilled Cheese Sandwiches or the Harvester Loaf in our essential catering sandwiches we couldn’t be happier with our brad from Hobbs House Bakery based in Chipping Sodbury.

MEAT

Our bacon comes from Wicks Farm who breed, rear and process their own outdoor reared pigs which make our bacon.  We also work with Buxton Butchers to source high quality meats which go into our sandwiches and famous sausage rolls. Our chicken is UK farmed and reared to Red Tractor seal of quality and care.

PASTRIES

Anir and the team bake our range of fresh all butter pastries every morning (very very early) to have them ready for your morning treat. From a Pistachio Swirl, Cinnamon Pretzel and of course their twice baked Almond Croissant, their range (and ours) really is a cut above.
